EasyScan can buy a Shopify Shipping label at the cheapest available rate the moment you finish packing an order, print it automatically, and fulfil the order with the label's tracking — all without leaving the pack screen.
Prerequisites
Advanced or Pro plan. Shopify Shipping labels are available on the Advanced and Pro plans only.
Shopify Shipping available in your country. Supported fulfilment locations: US, Canada, Australia, UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
Shopify Shipping terms accepted. Accept the terms in your Shopify admin under Settings → Shipping and delivery.
Label format set to PDF. EasyScan prints PDF labels, so set your Shopify label format to PDF.
Feature enabled in EasyScan. Turn it on once in Settings → Orders (see below).
One-time setup
Open Settings → Orders and find the Shopify Shipping labels card (marked Preview).
Turn on Buy a Shopify Shipping label when completing an order.
Read and confirm the short checklist that appears — it covers the Shopify Shipping terms, the supported countries and how billing works.
Set your default package. The empty-package weight is added to every label; you can also set default box dimensions and type.
Optional: use Print test label to check your printer produces a clean 4 × 6 in label.
Buying a label while you pack
Pack the order as usual in the single-order scan-to-pack screen. When the last item is packed, the Buy Shopify Shipping label window opens automatically instead of the tracking window.
Check the Ship to address and the Package summary.
Confirm the package weight. It is pre-filled from your product weights plus the empty-package weight. Adjust if needed, then press Enter to confirm.
Buy the label. Press Enter again (or click Buy label & fulfil). The window locks while the label is bought — do not close it.
The label prints automatically. For international orders a customs form prints too. Print label and Print customs form buttons stay on screen if you need them again.
The order is fulfilled with the label's tracking, and you are ready for the next order.
Note: Buying always needs a deliberate Enter, so a stray barcode scan can never purchase a label by mistake. If an item has no weight set, you will be asked to type one before you can buy. Don't need a label for this order? Choose Enter tracking manually to fulfil without buying one.
Reprinting a label
Once a label has been bought for an order, open that order and use the Print actions menu → Print shipping label to download and print it again at any time — even after the order is fulfilled. Only labels bought through EasyScan appear here.
Good to know
Cheapest rate, chosen for you. EasyScan always buys the cheapest available rate. There is no rate or carrier picker yet.
Costs are billed by Shopify. Shopify does not return the price, so EasyScan cannot show it. You will see the charge on the order timeline in your Shopify admin and on your Shopify bill.
One label per order. This covers a complete, single-location order. Partial packs, multi-box shipments and bulk buying from the orders list use the normal tracking flow.
Voiding is done in Shopify admin. There is no void inside EasyScan — a purchase is final here. Void a label in your Shopify admin, then buy the replacement there too.
Not available in the Shopify mobile app or POS. Use a normal web browser on your computer, phone or tablet.
If purchasing is paused, a banner appears in Settings → Orders (for example, if the Shopify Shipping terms are not accepted). Fix the cause, then an admin can click Resolved — resume purchasing.
There's a max weight. Packages over the configured limit (30 kg / 30,000 g by default) are blocked from purchase — use Enter tracking manually for those.
