Set up EasyScan
Open EasyScan from Apps in your Shopify admin. Use the guided setup to choose the features you need and configure their settings. You can reopen setup from the page title bar. Your choices change your store’s EasyScan settings, so review each step before continuing.
Connect and test a scanner
EasyScan accepts scanners that type into a text field. Connect your USB or Bluetooth scanner, open a text editor, and scan a product. Check that the complete code appears, including leading zeros, followed by Enter. Then test the same product in EasyScan. A successful text-editor test confirms keyboard input; the product must still have a matching barcode or SKU in Shopify.
For camera scanning, open EasyScan inside the Shopify mobile app and use the camera icon beside a supported scan field. See mobile camera scanning.
Choose your first workflow
Check or update inventory. Select the correct location and inventory mode before counting or saving.
Create a stocktake for a saved count with multiple counting sessions.
Feature availability depends on your plan. For automation, see Shopify Flow. EasyScan does not provide a general public API.
