Inventory Alerts

Get an email when stock runs low. Many merchants know this as "low stock alerts" — same feature, now grouped under Inventory alerts.

Last updated on 03 Aug, 2026

What it does

Inventory alerts sends your team an email as soon as a product's stock drops below a threshold you choose, so you can reorder before you sell out. Set a rule once, and EasyScan keeps watching stock levels for you.

Where to find it

Open Inventory alerts from either of these spots:

  • Dashboard → Inventory management card → Alerts

  • Inventory requirements → Alerts (top action)

Turning on alerts

On the Inventory alerts page, use the status card to:

  • Turn on alerts (or turn them off any time)

  • Set a daily digest hour — the time of day, in your store's timezone, when EasyScan sends the combined daily summary email

Creating an alert rule

Each rule tells EasyScan what to watch, when to alert, and who to email. Select Create rule and choose:

Scope

Where the rule applies — storewide, a specific collection, or a specific location.

Threshold

When it fires — a fixed quantity you set, your saved inventory requirements minimum (reorder point), or a days-of-cover estimate based on recent sales velocity.

Delivery

Instant (email as soon as it fires) or daily digest (one combined email at your chosen digest hour).

Recipients

Who gets the email for this rule. Once a variant's stock recovers above the threshold, it can trigger the rule again.

If you downgrade

Your rules are never deleted. If a downgrade puts you over your new plan's limits — too many rules, or a rule using an Advanced-only setting like location scope, instant delivery, or extra recipients — those rules are automatically paused rather than removed. Upgrading again restores them exactly as they were.
