What it checks
The audit scans every variant on every active product and flags four things: missing barcode, missing SKU, duplicate barcode (same barcode used on more than one variant store-wide), and duplicate SKU. Variants with none of these issues count as clean. It's a point-in-time snapshot — re-run it to refresh the results, it doesn't update itself automatically.
How to run it
Open the audit from the Products page's Audit action, the Barcodes & SKUs dashboard's Audit action, or its "Audit barcodes & SKUs" empty-state button — then click Run audit. It's available on every plan.
The audit runs in the background. Completion time depends on catalog size and Shopify processing; large catalogs can take several minutes. Check the status and return to the page when it finishes rather than starting another audit.
Reading the results
Once the audit finishes, stat tiles show All issues, Missing barcode, Missing SKU, Duplicate barcodes, Duplicate SKUs, and Clean, alongside a "Last audited" timestamp. Click a tile to filter a searchable, paginated table of the flagged variants; the two duplicate tiles switch to a grouped view showing which variants share each value. Use Export CSV to download every flagged item.
Fixing what you find
Use the one-click "Fix N missing barcodes & SKUs" button to jump straight to the assign page preloaded with the right target, or "Choose what to fix" to assign missing barcodes, SKUs, or both separately. You can also select individual rows and bulk-assign just that subset. Nothing changes until you review and save on the assign page.
If EasyScan roles are enabled, running the audit requires Product info access. Applying fixes also requires the relevant barcode-assignment permission. Review the selected products and overwrite options before assigning new values.
