Inventory Alerts

Set up Slack Integration

Send EasyScan inventory alerts to a Slack channel so your team can act on low stock sooner. Available to selected stores on Pro.

Last updated on 09 Sept, 2026

What Slack integration does

Connect EasyScan to one Slack workspace and choose the channel where your team wants to receive inventory alerts.

Connecting Slack provides a destination; each rule’s Send to choice controls whether it uses Email, Slack, or both. New rules default to Email. Rules saved before the channel selector was introduced keep their legacy delivery behaviour until changed.

  • Each alert includes a clear stock summary and an Open EasyScan link that takes you back to Inventory alerts.

  • Instant rules post when stock needs attention. Daily digest rules post one combined notification when products need attention.

Before you start

Slack integration is currently available as a limited pilot for stores on the Pro or Pro Yearly plan. You will also need permission to install apps in your Slack workspace.

If you are on Pro but do not see the Slack option, contact EasyScan support to ask about joining the pilot.

Connect EasyScan to Slack

  1. In EasyScan, open Inventory alerts.

  2. In the Delivery card, find Slack and select Set up Slack. EasyScan opens Settings → General → Integrations.

  3. Select Connect to Slack.

  4. In Slack, choose the workspace and channel that should receive EasyScan alerts, then approve the connection. If your workspace restricts app installations, a Slack administrator may need to approve it.

  5. Return to EasyScan. The Slack card will show the connected workspace and notification channel.

  6. Select Send test message. Confirm that the test appears in your chosen channel.

Your Slack channel will also receive a short confirmation when EasyScan is connected.

What happens after you connect

After connecting, edit each rule you want to send to Slack, choose Slack or Email and Slack, and save. Slack-only rules do not require email recipients. Instant and digest timing continue to follow the rule’s schedule; digest content includes the rules assigned to that channel.

EasyScan does not read Slack messages, channel history, members, or files.

Change the workspace or channel

  1. Open Settings → General → Integrations.

  2. In the Slack card, select Reconnect / change channel.

  3. Choose the new workspace or channel in Slack and approve the connection.

  4. Use Send test message to check the new destination.

The new selection replaces the previous Slack destination for this EasyScan store.

Disconnect Slack

  1. Open Settings → General → Integrations.

  2. Select Disconnect Slack, then confirm.

If Slack is disconnected, paused by plan eligibility, or unavailable for rollout, email-enabled rules can continue by email. Slack-only rules cannot deliver until Slack is available again; review their channel choice if you need another destination. Disconnecting Slack does not rewrite your rules into email rules.

EasyScan stops sending Slack notifications and removes outstanding Slack deliveries. Disconnecting the store does not remove the EasyScan app from the Slack workspace.

If you downgrade or cancel

Slack notifications require Pro or Pro Yearly. If you move to another plan or cancel your subscription, Slack delivery is paused. Your destination is saved, and notifications can resume if you return to an eligible plan. You can still disconnect Slack while it is paused.

Troubleshooting

I cannot see the Slack option

Check that the store is on Pro or Pro Yearly. Slack is currently in a limited pilot, so contact EasyScan support if you are eligible but the option is not visible.

Slack will not let me install the app

Your workspace may restrict app installations. Ask a Slack administrator or workspace owner to approve EasyScan.

The message is going to the wrong channel

Use Reconnect / change channel and choose the correct destination, then send another test message.

The Slack card shows Paused

Slack delivery is unavailable for the store’s current plan or rollout access. Email-enabled rules can continue by email. Slack-only rules cannot deliver until Slack is available again; review their channel choice if you need another destination.

The test message does not arrive

Check the workspace and channel shown in EasyScan, then reconnect and try again. If the problem continues, contact EasyScan support with the store name, workspace, channel, and approximate time of the test.
